Sometimes I'm asked to consider producing bespoke art for a client, perhaps the 'finishing touch' for a room in their home, or a similar piece to one for sale (but with a particular colour palette or scale), or a gift with more individual parameters. I have worked closely with clients to agree the brief and have many clients who have commissioned multiple separate pieces or pairs, and several repeat happy customers.
Working to commission is exciting and challenging and extremely fulfilling. My work is increasingly abstract, starting with core concepts but the outcome an be really hard to predict or shape - for this reason I don't accept all commissions that come my way, especially if I'm working with time constraints on other work.
Seeing a piece of my bespoke work on a client's wall is always a thrill and I am happy to spend time discussing a commission whether or not it results in a sale.
I have many delighted customers, who are happy to provide a few words about their experience and outcome.
Here are a couple:
"I cannot praise you highly enough, we absolutely love the paintings." NR
"The finished articles....they look absolutely fab!!! Thank you!!" NF
"Z absolutely loved it. Thank you for everything". AL
"Like me, he absolutely loves it! His words were "its exactly what I would have bought, had I seen it in a shop."" NF
